Maybe I Have a Mild Case of the Flu?

I’m not feeling so hot today. Yesterday I went to the doctor for a quick check-up and came out a few hours later having had two vaccinations (one in each arm), given blood, and sent to have x-rays taken of my head and jaw. (I’ve been having crazy bad headaches, a sore jaw, and big time sinus problems) Needless to say, it was a long morning. One of my vaccinations was for the Flu and I think I’m feeling some of the side affects. I was ready for bed last night at about 9:30 (after the Hills of course) but didn’t really get the lights off until about 10:15. Getting up this morning was next to impossible. I already struggle getting up in the mornings (I really like sleeping!) but today was SOOO hard. I just wanted to stay all snuggly and warm in bed and not wake up for a few more hours. Today I’m just dragging at work. But at least I’m here right?!

Anyway, due to my lack of energy, I’m not going to have much for you today. I am guest posting over at Encounters of the Human Kind, so you should definitely stop by for my thoughts for the day.

Also, I want to share with you the photo that Susan from Transient Travels sent in for the Fall Contest. It is a gorgeous shot that she took at Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

She says she always manages to come across the “best foliage in the most inconvenient places and by that I mean, at times when I cannot take a picture – like when I’m in the car on the highway on the way to work.” Lucky for us that she had her camera with her this time! Her favorite thing about fall is the leaves. “I can’t get over them - every season I think, is it really this beautiful every single year?” She has no fall recipe to share – she says she’s not much of a cook – but recommends the Soy Chais at Starbucks, and her favorite fall activity is a game of flag football with friends.

I might be biased, but I think New England has by far some of the best fall foliage around. And since I’m 100% obsessed with Boston/Cambridge and can picture Harvard Square as we speak, I’m sort of in love with this photo. It is currently my screensaver at work! So big thanks to Susan for bringing me a glimpse of a New England fall. I think I’ve got a few photos coming in from Colorado and some from the North Central part of the country so interested to compare photos from around the country to see how different fall is for everyone. Anyone in the Southeast or Northwest out there? I’ve heard good things about the foliage in both of those areas and I’d love to see some photos from there!

Beautiful picture! The one real regret I have about visiting Boston is I didn't get to see much of the city.

Damn you, work!

mine is coming! I keep waiting to see if I have time to take another picture somewhere, since the leaves in Denver have now started to change more..
